Believe it or not I almost gave up on blogging/My blog.
See for some blogging can be your career/ your 9-5 but for me it is a hobby.
I have my dream job working in the school system, enjoying all of the benefits and time off that I can get.
I started blogging in May, 2010 and I had all the free time in the world to blog and be active with social media. As time went by I noticed I was wearing way too many hats: freelance writer, full-time job, Grad school, Organizer for the NYC Fashion Bloggers Meet-up group with about (80) members in the group, handling 3 Facebook group pages, 2, Twitter accounts, 2, Tumblr's, and 2 Instagram accounts and so much more.
You could say that I was the "It girl" back in 2011-2013 mainly because I was... consistent as a blogger. One thing that I can say is that TIMES HAVE CHANGED.. especially with social media and getting your name out there.
In the beginning of the summer I felt as if I wasn't doing enough as a blogger and posting on my blog as much as I wanted to. It wasn't until the whole Photobucket disaster where they hijacked all of my photos (early June) and had my blog looking a mess. At one point I was using this as my excuse to let A Fendi Bag & A Bad Attitude go because: 1. I wasn't paying Photobucket all of that money to get my pictures back 2. Finding a photographer in NYC to take my pictures every week is hard 3. I did not have the passion anymore 4. ARE PEOPLE STILL CHECKING FOR ME OR MY BLOG?
So yeah... That's where I was with this blog at the time.
Of course I had a change of heart after having brunch with a close friend turned best friend (whom I met via blogging) and of course over some FAB food and drinks, she made me open my eyes to a lot of things about myself as well as my blog and after our talk I realized I needed to:
1. Fix my blog/ Give my blog a new look
2. Find my purpose
3. Share more of my human side
I am extremely thankful for the special people in my life who don't sugarcoat and hold back anything from me. As of today I am a work in progress when it comes to my blog. Letting it go is one thing that I know I would regret.
As of Thursday August 24th I did the first thing on my list... Give my blog a new look.
I am loving the fresh look, which is my motivation for blogging and sharing more of me through the lenses of my Iphone camera with my pictures till I am able to find a photographer, lol
Hey, It's a start.

Tammy, this blogging world is so different from when we first started blogging. And sometimes I get frustrated and disheartened, almost giving up too. But I want to keep sharing my voice, no matter what. As long as somebody reads it, I'm gonna keep typing lol. Know that you still have a reader in me. I love your style and seeing all your photos from your adventures in the city! As a country girl, you are like the "sex-in-the-city meets girlfriends" homie in which I can live vicariously around the city through. I can't wait to read what's to come from you!
Keep slaying, sis!
